When Joseph Went to Bethlehem Descant
I forgot a lot of things this year as choir director. One of them, I never fixed, and still feel a bit guilty about it. Others, I had great people to remind me. One of those was the Primary chorister asking if the Primary could sing sometime during December. I worked with the Bishop to schedule it, and at one point we thought that they would sing during the Ward Christmas program. To fit in with the theme of the meeting, I arranged a descant for the choir to sing with the children, and a flute to play, "When Joseph Went to Bethlehem." We never even practiced it because we ended up having the Primary sing the Sunday before, and the chorister chose a different piece (I wasn't brave enough to offer this one face to face), but I still like the flute on it. It is the first time I've tried to write something for an instrument, but my mom likes it! Take that as you may...

Oh wow I wish we had sung this with our primary last year. That would have been so fun! Well, if we had a floutist...of course as the pianist I don't get much say, but hey, I can try :)
